Management Partner, Compass House Medical Centres

Steph joined Compass House Medical Centres in 2016 and has a background in business and finance management, process improvement and customer service. She has a strong emphasis on ensuring a positive patient experience and improving the health outcomes of her local community. She has a passion for inspiring teams and individuals to reach their full potential and feels truly blessed to work with a fabulous team that shares her vision.

As well as leading her practice, Steph is often involved in mentoring and supporting other practices, both informally and on a consultancy basis, using her experience and skills to restructure teams, recruiting for key roles, providing training, securing additional funding, streamlining processes and increasing profit.

Steph has a special interest in collaborative working at scale, helping to set up and manage new services across several local towns and has previously been joint management federation lead and an elected board member representing local practices. Currently she is on her Primary Care Network Board and is on the NHSE/NHSI National Practice Manager’s Reference Group, helping shape policy and guidance and ensuring that the Practice Manager community are supported as much as possible in these ever changing times.

Steph is also a Non-Executive Director for Torbay Development Agency, which is dedicated to generating economic prosperity in her local community and making a real difference to the lives of people living and working in the South West, delivering innovative and practical programmes in areas including job and business creation. 

Outside of work Steph enjoys being active and spending time with her two young children, husband and dog, Jumble.
