Edward Morris

Vice President, Clinical Quality, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Edward Morris MD, FRCOG, FHEA, consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Medical School, University of East Anglia.

He is currently Vice President (Clinical Quality) of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and prior to that was Fellows representative for the East of England on RCOG Council (2011-2016) and past Chair of the RCOG Safety and Quality committee member of the RCOG Clinical Quality Board, roles that involve direct liaison with care providers and agencies of NHS England. In particular he was recently a member of the National Surgical Never Events Taskforce.

He was Chairman of the British Menopause Society, 2013-2015 having been an active member since 1995 and sitting on the Medical Advisory Council for the previous 3 years.

In addition to his clinical practice on menopause, minimal access surgery, urogynaecology and lead for a BSGE endometriosis centre, he directs the Gynaecology Research Unit and concentrates much of his work on menopause, endometriosis, fibroids and measuring patient outcomes, patient safety and quality measures.
